Context

Interning at Zeta Global

In the Summer of 2022, I worked with Zeta Global’s CRM Creative Team as a Creative Design Intern, where I designed digital marketing emails, social media ads, and app cards to boost customer engagement and retention for T-Mobile and AirMedCare Network.

During my 10 weeks at Zeta Global, I worked with creatives across the country, adhered to multiple brand guides, and created visual interfaces that connect our clients to their customers.

The Task

T-Mobile announces multiple updates and promotions for its products and service across 113.6 million users.

Design email newsletters and app cards that are digestible for T-Mobile customers, acknowledging CTA data-testing and brand guidlines.

All in an email

I designed data-based newsletters to encourage customer engagement and retention for T-Mobile customers.

Each headline and button is tested with T-Mobile's customer database.

Graphics and images are curated from T-Mobile's media library or created using Adobe Suite.

Working with T-Mobile, I learned how to experiment with multiple constraints and guidelines.

I understood both T-Mobile's voice and their partners, including Apple, Samsung, and T-Mobile Sprint. 

Let's translate, literally

To reach T-Mobile's Spanish-speaking audience, I crafted graphics that could easily be implemented in Spanish. 

Takeaways

Data-Driven Marketing

Working at Zeta Global, I gained knowledge in Big Data, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and how companies collaborate for campaigns. I learned the importance of design for user engagement rather than aesthetics. Also, it is important to test your designs and have data to support your design choices.

Keep it Dynamic

Throughout the internship, I learned how to design graphics that are responsive to different edits including legal copies and translations. Because we work with large global brands, it is important to consider future changes to designs. This means establishing a strong library of assets that can easily be altered if need be.
